Announced in 2005, the E3 visa is exclusively for the Australians.
This visa has removed the Australians from the H1B visa quota to a more flexible and beneficial method for those who seek jobs in the USA.
The fee is much lower than the H1B visa.
Permanent residents are not eligible to apply for this visa.
Spouses and children can accompany a person who has obtained E3 visa on a dependent visa – E3D. The spouse need not be an Australian citizen and is permitted to work in the USA, if he/she desires.
The E3 visa is basically a temporary work permit that can be renewed indefinitely – as long as the sponsoring US company employs you.
